Saudi Arabia. The rising new art hub of the Middle East.

With young artists and new spaces for them to display their craft, art cafes specifically have played a large role in public appreciation of local designers, painters and musicians.

Bohemia Art Café in Al-Khobar, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, is one many people enjoy. Combining both local art for decorative display and sale, as well as local musicians. Even featuring monthly “Open Mic” nights for anyone willing to take the stage. The atmosphere in Bohemia is relaxed and welcoming, while simultaneously being very fun and energetic.

The cafe is a spot with its own loyal goers, with familiar faces every weekend. Weekends especially are fully packed with music and coffee lovers, card and table game enthusiasts and vinyl record buyers.

Bohemia hosts Nintendo and arcade game tournaments,

appearances which include local bands such as Jwa Band and Mosaic, and solo singers such as Roxs and Lucid Reality on live performance nights,

DJ mixes by Second Opinion music reviewers,

as well as art shows featuring fashion designers’ work occasionally.

In my opinion, I would only recommend them to incorporate more drink choices, and milk options. Other than that, they have amazing (and healthy) desserts, drinks and sandwiches that go perfectly with the vibe of the café.

A location that deserves a visit, and will definitely pull you back on your next day off.
